The UAE space agency has confirmed that the Hope probe has been ejected into orbit around Mars. This will be another country that will make its place in the annals of history. The UAE’s first interplanetary flight attempt was a success. The UAE Hope Probe took off from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan. It sent a signal to ground control to confirm it was in orbit. It was a glorious moment for the team of young men and women who made it possible. When it was announced that the mission had successfully orbited Mars, the Burj Khalifa celebrated with a light show.

The UAE was the fifth country in history to reach the red planet, and the first of the Arab countries. Nadezhda has three scientific instruments. Its goal is to map the atmosphere of the red planet Mars. This will be a continuous process, revealing details of seasonal and daily changes. Such data collection will be invaluable to anyone considering a trip to Mars.

According to CNN, scientists can use the information from the Hope probe to better understand climate and weather dynamics in the different layers of the Martian atmosphere. The data can also provide insight into the behavior of energy and other types of particles, such as oxygen and hydrogen. All credit goes to the team of young engineers, male and female, who made this initiative possible. Their average age is 27.

A big moment for the UAE

Her Excellency Sara bint Yousef Al Amiri is the deputy project leader of the mission. She is also the president of the UAE Space Agency and the UAE Scientific Council. She reports that work on the project began in late 2013. It was something very new for the team. The team members came from different continents.

Their origins and beliefs were different. The infrastructure was relatively poor, but they worked as a team. They deserve all the credit.

CNN adds that the UAE’s Hope mission was one of three missions launched from Earth to Mars in July. The other two are NASA’s Perseverance rover and China’s Tianwen-1. Each has its own mission. Hope will orbit the planet, Tianwen-1 will orbit the planet and land on it, and Perseverance will land on Mars.

Hope is already here. Tianwen-1 is next on February 10, followed by Perseverance on February 18. These are practical examples of the use of artificial intelligence, robotics and renewable energy in space exploration. By February 2021, the Martian sky will be populated by the United Arab Emirates, China and the United States.

Work scheduled for the UAE Probe of Hope.

The Hope probe entered an elliptical orbit around Mars once the Red Planet’s gravity caught up with it. Because it will be in an elliptical orbit, the probe will approach the surface of Mars at 621 miles and be 30,683 miles away. It will take about 40 hours to orbit Mars and broadcast the first image of Mars. This is a capture orbit, and Hope will remain in this phase until mid-May.

This is a transitional phase of the mission. The mission project in the UAE is set up for two years and can be extended for another year. By the way, the orbit of “Hope” will be different from that of the previous spacecraft that visited the Red Planet.

The history of the UAE as the first Arab country to reach Mars.

According to CNBC, 100 years ago today’s hypermodern United Arab Emirates was a vast desert. The landscape resembled that of Mars. The UAE made history by becoming the first Arab country to reach the Red Planet. The project took six years and 80% of the team on the Emirati mission to Mars were women. They decided to send a probe to Mars to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the planet, but their goal is to colonize the Red Planet by 2117.

It is a directive from the leader of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
