Curry cuts off his teammate..

In his first year in the NBA, Wiseman struggled out of the starting lineup and was publicly criticized for a gaffe that cost him playing time early in the season. The center, who turned 20 on Wednesday, also showed some flashes of his game.

After this week’s 116-102 victory over the Bulls – a game in which Wiseman scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds and made four blocks – Curry made a hilarious comparison to his own life and career at that same age. As USA Today’s The Rookie Wire notes, Kerry was trying to distract his teammate a bit.

I was just looking for fraternity parties at Davidson, Curry said of his priorities when he was 19. We just lost to Maryland in the 2007 NCAA tournament. I’ve done a lot of different things, so this is a great opportunity and a great responsibility. It was the beginning of a long, long career for him. He just needs to embrace the process of what it means to establish himself as an NBA player.

The role of the wise man in the future

The Warriors seem to have big plans for the future, and reportedly voided him at the last trade deadline. Warriors general manager Bob Myers said after the deadline that the team plans to work with Wiseman on his development, adding that the new big man has shown willingness to do the work necessary to improve.

There are things we can help him with, and things he can help himself with, Myers said, according to USA Today. This is our partnership with such a player. It’s their purchase, it’s our obligation. Then it ends, and when it ends is different for everyone. We all want it now. I’m sure James wants it now. Very few players manage to do this from the start. So we’ll see.

The process of integrating into the NBA and learning the game hasn’t always been easy for Wiseman, especially in the more restrictive environment brought on by the pandemic. After the All-Star break, he missed the mandatory COVID-19 test and had to miss practice. As a result, coach Steve Kerr had Weiseman take charge of the first three quarters of the next game.

But Kerr also praised Wiseman and said his development would be a priority for the rest of the season. Since then, Wiseman has become a regular starter and has become more involved in the offense. The Warriors remain on the edge of the Western Conference playoffs.
