With the new Monster Hunter title and the latest installment in the Resident Evil series, Capcom has been gearing up for this year. Monster Hunter Rise had a successful launch to the delight of fans around the world, but now all eyes are on the next big game. Resident Evil has been around much longer than Monster Hunter, and the eighth major installment has arrived. Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil 8 is just a few weeks away, and Capcom has just given fans an exciting update. Here’s everything you need to know for the upcoming release of Village of Evil.

POOR INHABITANTS VIII

The next Resident Evil game is a continuation of the long-running zombie survival series. Fortunately for horror fans, RE Village follows Resident Evil 7’s decision to take the franchise back to its gruesome roots. The 5th and 6th major episodes in the series proved to be a spectacular pit stop, but the RE ship finally got back on course.

Players returning to the franchise with RE 7 can expect the same creepy atmosphere. Capcom has clearly respected the fans’ desire to see the games return to the original, scary roots that made the original games so successful. If the brief glimpses of the village are any indication, players around the world are ready for another incredible RE experience.

VILLAGEOR VIII?

The new game may cause some confusion, but the game’s logo helps clear up any potential confusion. Technically, the game is called Resident Evil 8 because of its place in the main series of the franchise. However, Capcom insists that the game is called Resident Evil Village. The presence of the Roman numeral 8 in the name serves as a typographical reminder.

NOT IN THE VILLAGE

The demo covers the two main areas of the upcoming game: the castle and the village. Players may spend the full 60 minutes on the same court or divide their time as they see fit. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THE VILLAGE

Apparently, players will be able to experience another gruesome Resident Evil by playing as RE 7’s protagonist, Ethan. This is the first time a main protagonist has led two main games in the series in a row. He comes in second if you count Chris Redfield’s involvement in Resident Evil 5 and 6. To be fair, Resident Evil 6 had a lot of main characters.

Ethan’s return to the Resident Evil village continues the fantastic tone of the series’ seventh installment. The latest trailer for Resident Evil Village reveals that Chris Redfield plays a major role in the game’s plot.

Speculation about Chris’ involvement in the Resident Evil Village conspiracy makes him a villain. This is the first time since Jill Valentine that a Resident Evil hero has been turned into a villain. Of course, Capcom isn’t about to tip the scales before anyone has had a chance to play the game.

Everyone has a chance to solve the mysteries of Ethan, Chris Redfield and Lady Dimitrescu when the game officially launches next month.

RETURN TO THE VILLAGE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

During a recent special presentation from RE Village, Tsuyoshi Kanda, the game’s producer, shed his light on the motivations behind the development of the next big Resident Evil game.

Resident Evil Village was created with the concept of a village that is both beautiful and terrifying, and we put our passion into creating this experience for our fans.

Without a doubt, Capcom has made a game that puts the player first. Let’s hope the game lives up to the expectations raised by the incredible previews Capcom has given its players. The official opening of the evil village takes place on the 7th. The month of May has arrived. Players can enjoy RE Village on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox S|X series, Steam and Google Stadia.
