After two days of speculation and rampant rumors, PSG finally unveiled their new star signing on Friday. The club broke their silence by announcing that they have reached an agreement with Lionel Messi. The deal is a two-year contract which is set to pay Messi 3,500,000,000 Euros a year. Breaking records is nothing new to the Argentinian, and his latest goal in the UEFA Champions league is the 12th of his career. The deal is believed to be the most lucrative contract in football history.

We’re a bit over two weeks away from the new season, so it’s time to look ahead to the PES 2020 release. And it’s not just the French team PSG who are about to splash their cash, after agreeing a new two-year deal with their star player Lionel Messi. We’ve been told that negotiations have been ongoing since last summer, and are now at the stage where an announcement could well be imminent.

Just when you thought the transfer saga was over, it seems the saga is just beginning. The Paris Saint-Germain’s new French president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed that the club have agreed a mammoth two-year deal with the Argentina international. Lionel Messi has joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Barcelona, with the Argentine superstar agreeing to a lucrative two-year contract.

The six-time Ballon d’Or winner has been a free agent since the beginning of July, and had agreed to new terms to stay at Camp Nou, but the Catalan club dropped out at the last minute, citing La Liga’s wage cap as the reason.

Messi wasted no time in seeking a new club, and has already signed a two-year deal with the big-spending French giants, with the option of a third year.

In one of the most lucrative contracts in European football, the 34-year-old is expected to earn approximately €40 million (£33 million) each season after taxes, plus a hefty signing-on bonus.

PSG initially contacted Messi on Thursday when it became apparent that Barcelona would not honor their contract offer, and he will now be part of a star-studded attack in the French capital.

Messi signed a contract on Tuesday morning and flew from Barcelona’s El Prat airport to Paris in the afternoon; upon arrival, he waved to the throngs of PSG supporters waiting for him while wearing a t-shirt with the word “Paris” on it.

The Argentine will rejoin with former Barcelona colleague Neymar as well as countryman Angel Di Maria, while Kylian Mbappe completes an assault that has already been tipped to win the Champions League this season by bookmakers.

PSG had an incredible summer window, signing free transfers Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, and Georginio Wijnaldum, as well as enticing Achraf Hakimi from Inter.

Messi announced his resignation from Barcelona in an emotional goodbye news conference from Camp Nou on Sunday, receiving a standing ovation from the players, family members, coaches, club icons, and board members in attendance. Messi had been with the club for 21 years.

Soccer star Messi in tears over leaving FC Barcelona

‘Well, the people at Barca know me, they know I’m a fantastic player, they know I enjoy competing,’ Messi remarked when asked about facing Barcelona in the Champions League. I’ll put up a fight to win it all.

‘I’m going to conclude my career the way I want to, competing, battling for championships, and ending on a good note.’ That’s my attitude, and it’s always been like that in this club.

‘I want to be the winner.’ There’s no question in my mind that I’ll join a squad that will compete with this one. I didn’t want to go; I wanted to remain; but, I had no choice; I had to, and now I must continue on my road of competing and winning.’
