But his play is not without controversy, as Brady has long had a reputation for being a diva and a perfectionist. Brady’s on-field excellence is not the only reason why he’s revered by Patriots fans. As he was leaving the studio, he makes fun of a couple of Hall of Fame haters. Brady, the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdown passes, also made fun of the haters. McAfee then joined the show and defended Brady. The two then wrapped up the show with a little promo for their upcoming show. I have been a Hall of Fame groper for years and I hope the day I get a chance to be in the Hall of Fame is long after my football playing days are over.
On Sunday in Canton, Ohio, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady attended the Hall of Fame induction of close friend and former rival quarterback Peyton Manning. When Manning addressed Brady, 44, during his statement, the audience began to boo the seven-time Super Bowl winner. According to, Brady accepted the booing in stride and made light of it on his Instagram account, sharing a video of the booing with the comment “I went to a party with a lot of Colts, Raiders, and Steelers fans… here’s how it went.” The booing was captured on camera and shared on Twitter by @7RingsTommy.
Brady has tortured the Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders, and Pittsburgh Steelers throughout his more than two-decade NFL career. In their head-to-head matchups, Brady held an 11-7 advantage against Manning. Brady also beat the Colts in the 2015 AFC Championship Game, and the New England Patriots beat the Raiders in a tight game in 2002. Brady has a 6-1 record against the Raiders and a 12-3 record versus the Steelers in his career. When questioned about Brady’s Hall of Fame appearance, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians stated he anticipated the Hall of Fame audience to boo his quarterback.

According to Larry Brown Sports, Arians stated, “He was booed, oh yes he got booed.” Brady, on the other hand, has seven Super Bowl titles to his name in his 21-year NFL career. Brady haters are slammed by McAfee.
Pat McAfee, a former Colts kicker who now works as a sports commentator and radio program presenter, defended Brady against the critics. The former kicker addressed Brady critics in a video from his show “The Pat McAfee Show,” asking, “What were they doing? In Canton, why was Thomas Edward Patrick Brady III booed?” “Do they not realize that, well, you’re sitting at his home, and that’s something that’ll be there forever?”
According to a transcription of McAfee’s YouTube video, “He hasn’t moved in yet, but he’s going to be there for a long, long time.”
Brady’s quarterback coach explains how to keep him motivated.
Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen explained how he encourages Brady during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” It was surprising that just a few clubs showed interest in Brady when he became a free agency last season. That serves as incentive for Brady for Christensen. According to The Spun, Christensen stated, “I won’t disclose the names, but every now and then I’ll joke about a club and say, “You know, they wanted him over you.” Brady still hasn’t gotten over being drafted 199th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, according to Christensen.
“I believe that’s simply how he gets his energy. He hides it under his clothes, but don’t fool yourself into thinking it’s not boiling within him,” Christensen added.
