After an extremely close third round, the top seeds Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic both advanced to the quarterfinals of the French Open on Sunday. I don’t think I took enough risks, said Norrie, who wants to reach the top 40 of the world rankings after this tournament. I came back well in the second set and got a break, but I think I could have played a little more aggressively, especially on serve and on the first ball. When I broke down, he came back the next game at a different level, with a different energy. Despite the loss, Norrie can look back on an impressive gravel season in which he won 16 matches and reached the finals in Estoril and Lyon. Nadal’s brilliance prevented Norrie from reaching the round of 16 for the first time at a Grand Slam, but he is confident of going into Wimbledon as the most successful player. I move well. Physically, I’m in good shape. Overall, I rode well and was happy with my attitude, Norrie added.
