Marvel’s new Avengers update is out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, and will soon be available on PS4 and PS5, though Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics aren’t saying exactly when it will arrive on the two PlayStation consoles. They discovered updates in the patch notes, which in turn reveal new features, campaign and multiplayer tweaks, combat tweaks and more.
This update not only prepares the game for this week’s Tachyon Anomaly event, but also adds new Tachyon missions, animated nameplates, and custom HARM room updates. In other words, nothing is super consistent, but there are also a lot of fixes and changes that round out the update and make it pretty consistent.
You can check out the full and official patch notes for the update from the game’s official website below:
NEW FUNCTIONS
- Tachyon anomaly
- The entire event begins on April 22 and ends on April 3. May. It includes a temporary attack event, a new Tachyon Rift mission, lower level Rift missions, and animated nameplates.
- Temporary breach
- AIM manipulations over time have led to periodic tachyon anomalies. Have more than one hero on your team and in matchmaking! The daily missions in this event award a priority kit to the hero you play, regardless of his level. Completing a weekly mission will be rewarded with 1 piece of equipment from the Hivemind set for a Hero above PL120. Every hero under PL120 gets an epic item instead.
- The new Tachyon mission
- Mission Tachyon Tear: And we’re back to urban biodegradation. Can you beat that clock?
- Animated name badges
- These are the Time Assault Name Plates, animated plates you can get to spice up your experience. As a reward for completing a weekly mission chain or a daily mission for the first time, you will receive an animated badge with your team name that can be used for any hero! Subsequent additions do not result in additional nameplates. Other badges with the names of specific heroes are commercially available.
- Customized HARM number updates
- Two new enemy groups have been added to the Custom/Intel HARM field: Dreadbots and Airborne. Dreadbot groups are waves aimed at Dreadbot enemies, and the Airborne group is aimed at all flying enemies.
