The Oakland Raiders are making some changes to their offensive line for the 2015 season. Last year, Richie Incognito was a little out of place as the starting left guard. The team signed veteran Kelechi Osemele to a four-year contract extension, and is also bringing in Rodney Hudson from the Kansas City Chiefs, who will start at left guard. It will be interesting to see how the line plays as a whole.
Richie Incognito was a central figure in the most publicized bullying scandal in NFL history. The N.F.L. and the N.F.L. I had such a long career and I wanted to come back and play a few more years with the Raiders. That makes sense. But remember: Of course, the oft maligned Incognito has kept his nose clean since the Raiders took a chance and convinced him to retire for a year in the spring of 2019. But he also missed a lot of time. Incognito has played in 14 of the Raiders’ 32 games over the past two seasons. It was great to be here for a few years, to be a leader for these kids, he said. It’s great. We had a very good experience in the room. But it’s my job to support these guys, to keep them hungry and humble, and when we’re on the field on Sunday, to play as a unit, to go out there and really challenge people. I think [offensive line coach Tom] Cable wants to have a very physical offensive line, and that’s my role. I set the pace every day during training.
