The Walking Dead release a production trailer awaiting their return in 2021, with six episodes of the new season, ten of which were filmed during the Covid 19 pandemic. The trailer combines images from season 10 to A Certain Doom, the final of the original season, which was released on September 4 after long delays caused by the coronavirus. October, and images taken during the virtual cast list, read and broadcast shortly before the recordings of the new mini season. Early next year the Walking Dead will come back with Sweet Home, in which Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) meet again for the first time in years, which happened right after the Shepchun-war.

AMC has already released a similar trailer for The Walking Dead: Last season’s epic, the 24th. Delivery of 11 Squadron, scheduled for late 2021. In addition to these six bonus episodes, there are a total of 30 episodes until the end of The Walking Dead at the end of the year 2022.

The intense reunion of Negan and Maggie also paves the way for a first episode of the Apocalypse, which reveals, as it were, the unpublished story of Negan’s origins, in which we will first see his late wife Lucille (played by Morgan’s real wife, Hilary Burton).

Because COVID-19’s health and safety protocols limit the number of additional zombies allowed on the set, these episodes will be broadcast on a smaller scale and on a smaller scale with characters such as Negan, Daryl (Norman Reidus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) immersed deep inside.

We have chosen a different version of the Walking Dead tradition that allows a very deep immersion into these stories of really cool characters, said show director Angela Kang at a virtual summit meeting of TWD’s show directors. I think they’re Walking Dead too, so I hope people like that kind of thing. We certainly have a story that I think a lot of comic book lovers have been waiting for. And I love the script, so we’re gonna work things out differently.

Maggie also gets a bonus episode in the past about where she’s been and what she’s done in the years away from the Walking Dead. This episode will also reveal the mysterious survival puzzle that Gabriel’s father (Seth Gilliam) saved when Maggie returned just in time for a certain fate.

We really get more into the minds of the characters than just a huge situation with thousands of zombies attacking you and people screaming and running, according to Ridus Deadline, which reveals the first details of the story in these brand new episodes. He’s more character oriented, Kovid has changed the dynamics a bit. I also think that after such an epic battle at the end of this season, you need to catch your breath.

He went on to say: I think people need to breathe out and look around, and I think that’s what’s happening right now. I’m sure he’ll get up, but now it’s some kind of introspective exhalation, which is good. It’s a nice sound.
