Argentina’s football superstar Lionel Messi has long been a notorious fan of the No. 10 jersey, so much so that it’s the most sought-after shirt in history.
The No. 10 shirt with Messi’s name and the number is still available for sale at the official Barcelona store, and the club’s suppliers are still producing the shirts, even after the Argentinian superstar announced he was leaving.
You’ve all seen it: the move that Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi made when he left the club to join Paris St. Germain. Well, the good news is that you can still buy Messi’s No.10 jersey. The bad news is that you can’t buy it from Barcelona’s official online store. The club’s official store closed down the shirt, but it can be bought on the official store of another club, called “El Corte Ingles”. They have already sold the shirt and it is already listed on their store, but it’s still not on the Barcelona store. This could be because it isn’t listed for shipping yet, or maybe the club doesn’t want to risk that it will be the only one. Read more about messi transfer and let us know what you think.

While it seems like Paris Saint-Germain will be the benefactors of Lionel Messi’s painful breakup with Barcelona, there is still hope for at least one other club to acquire the world’s most sought free agent.
Puebla has been playing the long game this summer in a gallant effort to entice Messi to Liga MX with a social media campaign planned over the last several weeks.

Puebla is hopeful that its preparations have cleared the way for the 34-year-old to make a surprise transfer to the Cuauhtemoc Stadium, avoiding the glaring lights of the Parc des Princes.
The amusing (and somewhat one-sided) conversation started on June 30 when Puebla contacted him personally as his contract at Camp Nou, the world’s biggest sports stadium, was due to end.
“Hello, Messi’s team. I sent you a direct message, “Puebla’s account put out a tweet. “We’d be delighted to collaborate with you.”

For the following month or two, all remained calm until August 5, when Barcelona announced that Messi would be leaving the club due to the club’s inability to register his new contract with LaLiga while adhering to the league’s financial fair play regulations.
Puebla reacted quickly, posting a purported screenshot of the two parties’ subsequent DM discussion, which seems to show a reaction to their offer of a Zoom call by sending a link to a statement regarding his future on the Barcelona club website.
“Is this a yes?” says the narrator. Puebla inquired, maybe more in the spirit of hope than with anticipation.

But, even before Messi said his emotional goodbye to Barcelona on Sunday, putting his 21-year relationship with the Catalan club to a close, his ardent Mexican supporters had made one last desperate attempt to sign him. The club’s official web shop offers a replica home jersey with “Messi 10” on the back.

The sashed uniform has a retail price of $1,599, however fans who want the six-time Ballon d’Or winner’s name on the back of their jersey can only add it to their “wish list” right now, rather than placing an order. Still, you have to appreciate Puebla’s effort in pursuing their goal, edging as close to the line as they can legally get away with, but their desire is unlikely to be reciprocated.

After an emotional farewell to Barcelona, Lionel Messi autographs pictures and jerseys for supporters.
Of course, Barcelona supporters are still grieving over the news of Messi’s impending exit. Hundreds of fans flocked to the streets around Camp Nou on Sunday to see their hero give his farewell press conference, shouting his name and encircling his vehicle as he left the stadium for the last time.
Fans were still purchasing this season’s shirt with Messi’s name and number, days after it was known he would be departing, according to video footage released over the weekend.

And, as of Monday morning, those fans who still want to purchase one final Messi memento (or are just unwilling to let go) may rest assured that Barcelona’s online shop is still offering this season’s jersey with “Messi 10” on the back, despite the fact that the man himself will never wear it.
On Barca’s official website, a disclaimer states that “names and numbers will not be definitive until the transfer market shuts” and that the club “cannot be held responsible for any modifications that occur until jersey numbers for the next 21/22 season are declared official.”
Nonetheless, considering the terrible financial circumstances that has forced Barca to let their greatest-ever player go, it’s natural that they’d want to squeeze every last dollar out of him before he moves on.
Or it might be a hint that there’s still one more surprising twist in this story to come, and Barcelona will find a way to re-sign Messi in time for the new LaLiga season, which begins on Friday with Valencia vs. Getafe (watch LIVE at 3 p.m. on ESPN+ in the United States).
